Strategic brand development for a group of engineering companies

In 2014, three engineering firms specialising in different disciplines decided to position their companies in such a way that their customers could benefit from an integrated offering that highlights synergies between the trades and develops sustainable solutions. Our agency had the privilege of supporting this project from the outset and creating the basis for a joint yet individual brand identity.

The challenge of a uniform identity

Although the merger of the three companies offered many opportunities, it also presented challenges. How could a uniform image be developed that would strengthen the sense of togetherness while preserving the independence of each individual organisation? Through targeted strategies and a deep understanding of our customers' goals, we developed a solution that united all aspects.

A foundation of strategy and identity

The first step was to strategically position the merger. What was the common denominator? What values and goals united the three companies? Together, we developed a strong brand profile that not only made the synergies visible to the outside world, but also set the course internally for pursuing common paths and utilising synergies in the future.

Corporate design with balance

The centrepiece of our project was the development of a comprehensive design system with a "digital first" approach. It united all three engineering firms under one roof, but at the same time gave them the freedom to retain their individuality. The design line conveyed a clear unity to the outside world, but also reflected the individual characteristics and strengths of each company.

Our design concepts were characterised by one guiding principle: unity in diversity. This balance not only brought visual coherence, but also strengthened brand perception.

Sustainable success and continuous optimisation

The collaboration did not stop at strategy and design. Over the years, we have supported the companies in numerous campaigns that specifically address their various specialist areas and target groups. These measures strengthened their reputation as leading experts in their sector or expanded existing business areas.

Building trust, expanding visibility

Establishing a brand is one thing. Keeping it up-to-date and dynamic is the bigger challenge. Together with the engineering companies, we pursue a strategy of regularly publishing relevant content and news. Information campaigns on LinkedIn or specific blog posts on topics such as sustainable mobility and efficient environmental protection help to keep the brand digitally alive.

Holistic overhaul of the digital presence

For the second time, we were able to redesign the entire online presence. With fresh, modern designs and optimised functions, we created a platform that is not only visually appealing, but also offers clear added value for customers. Intuitive navigation, targeted content, a user-friendly structure and a clean SEO strategy made the website a first-class information and acquisition tool.

Why strategic brand development makes the difference

What this project illustrates is the immense importance of strategic brand work for the success of a merger. It is not enough to combine competences – the communication and external presentation must also fit. A strong brand creates trust, clear values and identity-forming elements that work both internally and externally.
