CURAPROX is the international retail brand of Curaden AG, an innovative company based in central Switzerland that develops and sells high-quality dental care and oral health products. The CURAPROX online shop forms the digital backbone of the brand – a powerful e-commerce platform that offers customers in over 40 countries a modern, localised shopping experience.

Our approach

Initial situation and objectives

The goal was ambitious from the outset: to create a scalable e-commerce infrastructure that works globally but can be customised locally – with country-specific requirements for language, currency, payment methods, tax logic, logistics and ERP connections.

What appears to be a seamless shopping experience at the front end is based on a complex system architecture and a high demand for continuous further development in the background.

The solution

A long-term development strategy was established in close collaboration with the CURAPROX team. The platform is continuously expanded, optimised and adapted to new market requirements – with the aim of constantly improving both the user experience and operational efficiency.

Technical setup and functions

  • Master/slave configuration: a central master shop manages all content, products and configurations, while the country-specific shops access this and add individual requirements.
  • Global code base with local playout: Git-supported code management with hosting in Switzerland and on AWS – for a high-performance, secure and internationally scalable infrastructure.
  • Customised modules: Development of customised extensions to efficiently map CURAPROX-specific requirements.
  • Background systems: Connection to various ERP systems, payment providers and decentralised logistics structures – depending on market needs and country requirements.

Continuous further development

The platform is continuously developed further as part of a close partnership. New features, optimisations in the checkout process, technical improvements and country-specific enhancements are regularly incorporated into the development roadmap. The collaboration is characterised by long-term thinking, a structured approach and a deep understanding of the strategic importance of the online channel for CURAPROX.
